Hi friends,
With the new update of WP Telegram, you will be able to send any extra files or photos along with the message by using the Override switch on Post Edit Screen

In case the other file types are not sent, add this line to functions.php of your active theme:

// upload the file instead of passing the url
add_filter( 'wptelegram_send_file_by_url', '__return_false' );

As many hosts (especially in Russia and Iran) block Telegram, we have added the explicit support for proxy in WP Telegram 😍.

The proxy is not enabled by default. You will need to add this one-line code to your active theme's functions.php

add_filter( 'wptelegram_bot_api_use_proxy', '__return_true' );

Instead of using a proxy, you can use Google App Script to bypass the ban. 👌

May users ask for the recommendation about a good hosting.
You should choose a host that doesn't ban Telegram. One such good host is InMotion Hosting.
We have been using their Managed VPS for years now and never really had any downtime. Their support is also really good.

Many users have been facing the issue of double posting by WP Telegram triggered by other plugins. This was addressed by the custom code that we gave to the users who faced the problem. 👍

We have now released an update (1.9.1), fixing the issue. Please update to get the issue resolved. ✅
The users who had added the custom code to avoid double posting can remove that code now. 😊

As promised, an update to WP Telegram Widget has been released.
It fixes all the layout issues and uses a different approach to display the messages. 😎
Now it auto removes the messages that are deleted from Telegram Channel to get rid of the scary "Post not found" message 😍

Guys! Sorry about the double posting issue in WP Telegram. We had fixed it in a previous update but it accidently got overwritten by the last update. Sorry for the inconvenience. A new update has been released to fix the issue. Just make sure that your PHP version is greater than 5.3.
