Putin traditionally takes the plunge into icy waters on Epiphany bathing* on Friday night, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.
The Russian president doesn't usually follow this tradition publicly, so we attach a couple of multimedia pieces showing Putin taking an "ice bath" from January 2018 and 2021.
*Epiphany (Baptism) bathing is one of the oldest folk traditions existing in Russia. The Christian holiday commemorates the baptism of Jesus in the Jordan River.
