He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.

An Elder said: “The Devil occupies himself constantly with any flaw in a monk; for, as a certain Saint said, a habit which persists for a long period of time acquires natural power, and above all in those who are greatly negligent. So, as long as you are healthy, cease seeking every food which you strongly long for. Eat that which God sends you and be thankful to Him at all times.”
