Proverbs 28:3-4
A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food. 4. They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
Proverbs 28:5-6
Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things. 6. Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
Divine Providence is not fate. God does not control every moment of our lives. There are things that are in our power and our free-will only, or it is will of other people, or consequences of corrupted nature. Providence of God in our lives means that He provides for us all that is necessary for our salvation. Everything we have God gives us for the purpose of working out our salvation.

St. John Chrysostom says that we know very little about things and reasons, and our conclusions are often wrong, while God is able to suggest special path among many to salvation for every single person, with love and compassion.
Proverbs 28:7
Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
Proverbs 28:8
He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.

+ St Barsanuphius of Optina
Proverbs 28:9
He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
In the Orthodox Church fasting is one of the important means of spiritual life.
"Fasting is praiseworthy and necessary in its time and place: it is better to keep to a moderate use of good and drink, avoiding satiety, indicated by a slight heaviness, and on the other hand, avoiding excessive and inappropriate abstinence. Moderation, the middle path, makes a person more capable of spiritual activity."
--- Saint Ambrose of Optina
Proverbs 28:10
Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.
Proverbs 28:11
The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
Proverbs 28:13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
Proverbs 28:14
Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

“If you say something evil about your brother or sister, even if it is true, your soul suffers an unhealable wound. You can reveal the sins of another only when the sole intention in your heart is the benefit of the soul of the sinner." ☦️ St. Nikon of Optina (June 25)

St. Barsanuphius prophesied that Russian Christians would be persecuted and suffer martyrdom. Fr. Nikon lived through the terrible times of under the communist yoke. He courageously endured the forced closure of his beloved monastery, the brutal harshness of a communist labour camp, and disease brought on by the inhumane conditions he experienced daily.

St. Nikon, pray unto God for our salvation!

“The soul’s beauty is only seen when it is clothed in the garments of humility and woven with the threads of love.”

+ St Gregory of Nyssa
“Mary Magdalene and the women with her ran from Christ's tomb with both fear and great joy (cf. Matt. 28:8); and perhaps we, too, shall one day come out from our spiritual tomb with fear and joy.”
St John of Karpathos

This is what Orthodox faithful feel every Liturgy remembering Christ’s Resurrection.
