A SIGN OF VICTORY OVER VANITY

A considerable struggle is required to get rid of a person's vanity. And he gets rid of it through performing good deeds in secret and through frequent prayer. And a sign of getting rid of it is when you no longer remember the evil done to you by those who defamed you or continue to defame you.
