HOLY DEFIANCE: Clergy refuse to leave the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra (monastery) until the end of trial as it is made official that the Lavra will challenge Kiev's termination of their lease in court.
Their defiance is reinforced by worshippers flocking to the chapel and praying outside.
🗣Clergy will not be evicted from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra on March 29, 30 and 31, as well as on other dates, as there are no legal grounds for this - Head of educational department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
