HOMILY on the Precious and Life-Giving Cross from the Holy Fathers of the Orthodox Church
My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ Our Only True Lord, God, and Savior, CHRIST IS IN OUR MIDST! HE WAS, IS, AND EVER SHALL BE. Homily on the Precious and Life-Giving Cross from the Holy Fath…
"Given that men had rejected the contemplation of God and we're instead looking for Him in nature and the material world, establishing gods for themselves out of mortal men and demons, the Loving and General Saviour of all, even the Word of God, Took Unto Himself a Body, and Walked About As a Man, for to Meet the senses halfway, that those who believe God to be corporeal might perceive the Verity by observing the Accomplishments of the Lord In His Body, and Through Him recognise the Father."

Luke 12:22-23
And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. 23. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 2. With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

"When there is a respect for small things, there will be an even greater respect towards the bigger things. When there is no respect for small things, then neither will there be for the bigger ones. This is how the Fathers maintained Tradition." ~ St. Paisios of Mount Athos

🙏 The Christian must also have an optimistic view of life. Christian optimism has a profound foundation: it is rooted in our faith, in our trust in God, Who is the very Lord of history. The basis of our optimism is hope in the goodness of God’s will. We do not blindly suggest that the next year will be better than the last, but rather we associate our hope for a better life with prayer. It is namely in prayer that we ask of the Lord help and blessings on our country, on our people, on our Church, on our relatives, and on those close to us. We believe that the Lord will hear our prayer and, in response to our sincere faith and in response to our ability to repent of our sins and restrain from that which does evil, will grant His mercy.
