Q: Why do Orthodox churches have a national identity associated with them?
— Because Christianity is not built on ideologies of cosmopolitism and globalism. We see in the Early Church, that Local Churches were concrete entities, and where the L.C. territory was big enough to associate with a certain nation, it was associated. For example the Church of Judaea; Galatians was a nation, and so on.
