Receive me, O Christ, the Lover of all men, as You received the prostitute, the thief, the tax-collector and the prodigal. Take away the heavy burden of my sins, for You take away the sins of the world; You heal the infirmities of men, You call to Yourself and give rest to those who labour and are heavy-laden.

Psalms 1:1-2
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Modern world makes you think and feel like you are going to live forever. Everything is about to get pleasure and comfort. And this is one of the most dangerous traps ever. When we die we can’t change anything. That is why we should spend every moment of our life for spiritual strengthening and listening to God.

“The time of our life continually goes by. We cannot return the time that has passed. The past and the future are not ours—only what now have is ours. We do not know our end. Thus, always, at every hour, we should be ready to depart if we want to die blessedly. As [a Christian] wants to be at his death, so should he strive to be at every time of his life; for he knows not in the morning whether he will live till evening, or in the evening whether he will live till the morning.”
St. Tikhon of Zadonsk

Psalms 1:3-4
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. 4. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

The best prayer is: “Lord! Thou knowest all things. Do with me as Thou willest!”

Sunni CHILDREN under HTS protection desecrate a Christian cemetary in Syriac town Zaydal.

Yet western think tanks will still tell you Christians are fine in Syria.

Psalms 1:5-6
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Proverbs 3:35
The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

"I Know Him, for I Am Of Him, and He Sent Me" (Jn 7:29).

No one has ever dared say that they know God. Many have only said that "they believe in God." Only our Lord Jesus Christ Spoke the words: "I Know Him." And immediately He Explained from Whence He Knows Him, Saying: "for I Am Of Him, and He Sent Me." The first reason: "I Am Of Him" Testifies to the Eternal Being of the Son; and the second reason: "And He Sent Me," Testifies to the Manifestation of the Son in time in the physical world as an Emissary of the Holy Trinity.

For us, who are Christ-believing, it is not given to know the Father as His Only-begotten Son Knows Him, but to us it is Given, and Commanded, that we believe. Our Merit is in believing, and not in knowing. If all of us knew God by seeing, no one would have any Merit. For what kind of merit is there in seeing, and recognising? However, to not see yet believe, in this is Merit; in this is Virtue; in this is our Salvation. We are unworthy to see God, and by seeing to know, for we are weakened by sin, and alienated from God. But God's Mercy Gave us Faith in this life, which is able to bring us closer to God, and to lead us into the Everlasting Kingdom of seeing and knowing in that Life. O, my Brethren, let us believe on Christ the Lord, for He Knows. He Speak not by faith, but by Knowing.

O Merciful Lord, Confirm the Faith in us. Extend the Hem of Thy Robe, that we may hold on to it even to the end of our lives. Amen.

St Nicholai Velimirovich, from the Prologue of Ohrid (6th February)
Proverbs 2:6
For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
